What we do
We take on a small number of projects each year: family homes, a bakery counter, a bookshop that needed shelves that could be moved twice a year. Drawings, materials, and the patient back-and-forth with the people who will actually use the room.
Interiors
Measured drawings, layout options, material boards, site visits.
Furniture
One-off pieces in oak, ash and birch ply, made with local workshops.
Lighting
Simple fixtures and daylight studies for rooms that face the wrong way.
How a project usually goes
- A first conversation and a look at the space, in person or by photographs.
- A short written proposal: scope, rough budget, how long it will take.
- Two rounds of drawings, then samples of the materials we intend to use.
- Making and fitting, with the workshop schedule shared as it firms up.
Materials
We prefer solid timber and honest finishes: hard wax oil rather than lacquer, brass that is allowed to go dull, linen that can be washed. Pieces are built to be repaired, and we keep the drawings so a part can be remade years later.
